Netflix plans to get into the game, hiring an EA executive and a Facebook Executive



Netflix is hoping to grow its compass past film and TV streaming, with the organization employing a previous Electronics Arts and Facebook leader to run another gaming drive. 

Netflix on Wednesday said Mike Verdu will join the organization as VP of game turn of events, reports Bloomberg. The chief reports to COO Greg Peters. 


Verdu is a gaming industry veteran, with spells at Atari, EA, Zynga, Kabam and Facebook. Subsequent to beginning a product improvement organization in 1985 that served the Department of Defense, he helped to establish Legend Entertainment with Bob Bates in 1990. Legend was gained by GT Interactive Software, which was purchased by Atari. Verdu and Bates cooperated on first individual shooters including Unreal II, as per Verdu's LinkedIn profile. 

He moved to EA in 2002, where he oversaw enormous establishments like "Order and Conquer," and "Decoration of Honor" establishments, prior to filling in as Zynga's boss imaginative official and co-leader of games. Verdu established versatile technique game expert TapZen in 2012, an organization obtained by Kabam in 2015.
