Entering the era of the ASEAN Economic Community (AEC) which will be applied at the end of this year, ZTE technology company offering ICT solutions to deliver Smart City in Indonesia.
According, Sales Director of PT ZTE Indonesia, Yan Changzhi, ICT (Information, Communication, and Technology) or ICT is essential to increase productivity in the era of the AEC.

One solution of strategies M-ICT is Smart City which is the roof which supervises all the concept of Smart City," he said, interrupted mat ICT Expo in Bandung on Thursday.

Furthermore, President Director of ZTE Indonesia, in May Zhonghuo, revealed that ZTE focused on three issues in implementing Smart City solutions in Indonesia, namely education, transportation and public safety.
According to ZTE, the education sector in Indonesia is facing a number of problems such as inadequate infrastructure, education, resources are unbalanced, and inefficient management.
ZTE itself has presented Smart Education solutions that have been implemented in the form of e-learning equipment to a high school in Jakarta in December last year.
The solution is made by combining the content of lessons, teaching methods, and a variety of communication tools. The concept is implemented by integrating cloud platform for education, interactive classroom system, training equipment for the production of micro video, and mobile learning applications.
In terms of transportation, one of the Smart City solutions offered ZTE is iRail. Transport solutions are considered capable of reducing the number of train accidents caused by signal interference. The train will be equipped with GPS, so the position of the train will be known, so that minimize the potential occurrence of a train collision.
For public safety, ZTE see the crime rate continues to rise which is feared could disrupt the stability, economic growth and prosperity in the country.
ZTE also has organized a pilot implementation of Smart City solutions to improve public safety, in Singapore in August. Currently, according to May, the implementation of such solutions have come to the signing of the MoU and further discussion on the implementation of these solutions.
Public safety solutions offered ZTE is a communication system for many channels in one frequency or so-called trunking. Trunking will connect a number of related agencies such as the police and local government, for example.
LTE-based trunking and can provide a variety of services such as voice / video trunking, HD video, data collection, video conferencing, location and encryption.
Trunking has the advantage of which is capable of supporting multi-party response and quick access (within 300ms), a data rate up to 100 Mbps using LTE technology, supports HD video transmission, security and confidentiality maintained with professional encryption for voice, data, and video.
Based on the radius of coverage, the tool is divided into two sizes, small size can cover a radius of 2 km, while the medium-large size can cover a radius of 8 km.
