Gigabyte Aero 15X notebook review

Good laptops will be better
The original Gigabyte Aero 15X was already at the top of the game to become a thin and lightweight laptop. This thin bevel was ahead of its time. And the edge IPS screen was bright and luxurious.

Although the Aero 15X screen was highly prized, the 60 Hz panel was still an attractive weak spot for gaming laptops.

Gigabyte has clearly recognized this, and by 2018, Aero 15 X has a 144 Hz IPS screen for smooth and silky gaming.

Not only that, the laptop also has a number of other small improvements. First, the speaker is compatible with Dolby Atmos. In addition, the chassis is slightly thinner and only 18.9 mm thick.

The keyboard has also been improved and supports N rollovers. In addition, the card reader has been updated. Gigabyte has been upgraded to a new UHS-II interface. It offers up to 12 times faster read / write speeds, so you can quickly transfer large files from SD cards.

Here’s an overview of the laptop’s specifications:

  • 15.6-inch 1,920 x 1,080-pixel 144Hz IPS display
  • Intel Core i7-8750H (2.2GHz, 9MB L3 cache)
  • 16GB DDR4-2666 RAM
  • NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 Max-Q
  • 512GB M.2 PCIe SSD
  • 94.24Wh battery
  • 356 x 250 x 18.9mm
  • 2kg

Aero 15X is thin, light and fast, but it is against very tough competition. For example, the new Razer Blade will be even more premium and the webcams will not be uncomfortable down below.

With $ 3,799 from Singapore, Aero 15X has to prove it's at the top of the game.
