The Ministry of Information and Communications (Kominfo) has reopened access to Yahoo and Valve Corp. (Steam, CS Go and Dota) after being previously blocked for not registering as an Electronic Systems Operator (EPS).
All four services have been standardized as of this morning, Tuesday (August 2, 2022) at 08:30 WIB. General Manager of IT Applications (Aptika) Semuel Abrijani Pangerapan said his team has been in contact with officials from Yahoo and Valve Corp.
“Access to four electronic systems has been normalized as of 08:30 WIB today. Users are slowly starting to be able to access the services of four PES,” said Semuel on Tuesday (August 2, 2022).
Before that, the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology remains open to the opportunity and hopes that the unregistered private sector PES can respond immediately to the alerts sent so that normalization can be done immediately.
Semuel said that before terminating access, his party made various attempts to contact the management of these platforms. a very important process to maintain and strengthen governance of the Indonesian digital space,” he said.
He also points out that the registration process is administrative, simple and free. The dissemination of this policy was also carried out about 1.5 years ago.
Furthermore, he revealed that the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology provided technical support and assistance should PSE encounter any problems during the registration process.
